The Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames is situated within South West London on the south bank of the River Thames with a population of approximately 170,000. Local towns include Kingston-upon-Thames, Surbiton, Chessington, New Malden and Tolworth.

Kingston-upon-Thames is located approximately 13 miles south west of central London. The town benefits from its M25 motorway access being 1 mile to the south as well as being close to the M3 motorway.

Rail services to London Waterloo are available in approximately 30 minutes, via the major transport hub of Clapham Junction. Shopping facilities include The Bentall Centre and the Eden Walk Shopping Centre which comprises high street stores and independent boutiques and retailers.
